10 Mind-Boggling Facts About FRIENDS TV Show That You Might Not Know

I think FRIENDS is one of the rare television soaps that has literally plundered attention from all over the world and I have met fans literally crazy for the show.

They watch it on and on again with the same level of enthusiasm and laugh again and again to a similar scene as if they came across it for the first time.

Whether you talk about Joey’s appetite or Rachel’s dressing sense, Monica’s delicacies and discipline or Chandler’s sarcasm, Phoebe’s humor or Ross’s expressions, each and everything is extremely attractive and worth the applause they obtain.

But here are some really interesting facts about the FRIENDS TV show that you might not know:

1. There was an episode where Rachel quits the show. It was one where Ross and Rachel take a break. But did you know that Jennifer Aniston didn’t even play Rachel in that and she was replaced by a stand-in?

2. The Ugly Naked Guy’s apartment which went to Ross later was actually destroyed in between and the entire building was demolished and rebuilt in the midst of shooting.

3. Phoebe aka Lisa Kudrow actually thought that Matthew Perry was actually a gay and chosen for the role due to this.

4. Up till the first season, all main members were receiving $22,000 per episode. But after that, each actor had a slightly different salary and this was not bearable to some. So in 1997, all six cast members refused to get back until they all got an equal salary of $100,000 per episode.

5. The earnings which started at $100,000 per episode in the second season went to reach $1,000,000 per episode till the last.

6. You know that Phoebe was actually pregnant when she carried ‘her brother’s babies’, but did you know that Monika was pregnant in the final segment too? Yes, and the makers hid this off very well with costumes and props.

7. Can you ever imagine in your wildest dreams that the roles of Chandler and Phoebe were written as a support and not as the main lead initially?

8. All My Children- This is where the names of all the leading characters of the show come from.

9. You, of course, know that David Schwimmer was the first cast of the show. However, he was the only person whose role was written keeping him in mind and he didn’t audition for the show.

10. Jon Haugen- This is the name of the actor who played ugly naked guy in the show. His identity wasn’t revealed until 2016.
