2050 — What would it be like?
Hello Fellow Tech Geeks. This week I thought about our future. Like, what would 2050 look like. Will we have aliens or robots as our companion or maybe a flying car. Lost in my though I began to research what are the technology prediction for 2050! And the following two really caught my eye. Here we go -
Space Tourism
Come on honey, let’s take a trip to Mars, sounds dreamy right? Well, it will become a reality in the future. Space tourism is the term used to describe space travel for recreational or leisure purposes. According to Business Insider, space tourism could be feasible in 2050 but you need to have heavy dough in your pocket to take this trip.
A no. of companies are taking steps in the advancement of space tourism. The most popular is probably Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic, which has been talking about taking civilians to space for years now. More recently, SpaceX — started by Elon Musk, co-founder of the Tesla electric car company — has vowed to take two tourists on a trip around the moon. Then there’s Blue Origin, which was founded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
One thing is certain that you got to be super rich to avail this as it’s not going to get cheap anytime soon. But even the thought of something like this happening gives me goosebumps!
Self-Driving Cars
The study, prepared by Strategy Analytics, predicts autonomous vehicles will create a massive economic opportunity that will scale from $800 billion in 2035 (the base year of the study) to $7 trillion by 2050. An estimated 585,000 lives could be saved due to autonomous vehicles between 2035 and 2045, the study predicts.
Car companies like Ford, Nissan, and Volvo as well as Google are actively developing autonomous car technologies.
Acceptance of autonomous vehicles is gonna be a sort of revolution on its own. It will not only a change the way we travel but also a change our entire lifestyle. We will augment in our ability to trust AI to take care of the vehicle and our life in the bigger picture will change the way our relationship with AI like never before.
Bottom Line
