Is Your Smartphone Disturbing Your Sleep?
Do you agree that your smartphone is a necessary evil these days? Well, even when a lot of people across the world do not have a mobile phone and many people still do well with a feature phone, most of them have a smartphone that serves various purposes.
However, the reason behind this “smartphone” thing being evil is that it is literally glued to the body of people almost 24 hours a day and disturbs even the everyday working habits of people. Tell you what, people pick up their smartphone the first thing when they wake up and this is the last thing they are holding in their hands before they go to sleep.
This smartphone remains in their hand even when they are sitting on their toilet seat, it sits on their hand when they brush their teeth, many of them keep holding it even when they shower, when they are having their meals, and even when they travel.
So this smartphone thingy does not get any rest even when its battery is low. In fact, people invent newer ways to keep using the smartphone even when it does not have enough battery. They are happy to carry a power bank with them, and other support accessories such as earphones and headphones, etc. So they have made all the provisions to keep the smartphone with them all the time and the thing that was designed to make the lives of people easier has made people its slave.
But what is more interesting is that this smartphone does not let people sleep and they keep holding it till late at night, doing absolutely nothing. They keep on scrolling the feed of different social media apps, discovering what other people did, trying to be a bit jealous of the people, but going to sleep after they have had enough and when their eyes cannot take more. However, this happens too late and while they sleep, they have only a few hours before they have to get up again and start their next day.
They can put their smartphone down at night but looks like some invisible chain has sewed the smartphone into their hands and they cannot help it. This is something that has led to many problems in human beings and sleeplessness or insomnia is one of the rising disorders.
However, do not blame smartphones for this. They are dead objects that do not react once you switch off the mobile data at night. The trouble is, that people do not wish to give it up and search for things that are not even there.
So if your smartphone is disturbing your sleep at night, it’s absolutely your fault. Just switch it off and keep it away. Resist that urge to touch it again and again during the day. When you cannot resist that urge to touch the smartphone again and again, how do you expect your kids to stay away?
Smartphones are not the real cause why human beings face disorders such as insomnia and depression. These are new trends like smartphones and got their birth only after the discovery of these technological products.
So if you wish to sleep well, stay away from technology as much as you can.
