For some people, the defense is the best form of attack and we have seen the cricketer Rahul Dravid applying this in his real life as well. No matter how fast the bowler was, no matter how much the ball swung, he was keen on defending the ball and this was his method of taking the attack to the opposition.
And then there was Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a cool and calm composer of a match who handled everything utterly calmly, and even when the opposition was extremely aggressive, he showed his utter calmness on the field. But who do you count as the cooler cricketer on and off the field? Was it MS Dhoni or Rahul Dravid?
Well, you could be fans of any of these cricketers but you cannot hate the other one because you know that these cricketers have given their hearts out on the field, in order to offer some people that we would cherish an entire lifetime. However, still, the question remains the same. Who was more cool and composed on the cricketing field?
Well, if I had to express my personal opinion, I think it would be none other than Rahul Dravid who hardly attacked the opposition with his words, even when they were extremely aggressive. Dravid faced the most aggressive Australian side under Ricky Ponting and still, he was as cool as a cucumber when batting.
Against this, we have seen a number of incidents where MS Dhoni was caught fighting with the umpire in the IPL and in international matches. That famous walk into the ground against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2019 was something really disgraceful from a cricketer like Dhoni. In my opinion, he should have not lost his cool and not walked into the stadium without being called. He is such a respectable cricketer but such acts surely bring down the respect he has earned over the years. And had not been this incident, I would have counted both Rahul Dravid and Dhoni equal in terms of composure. What’s your opinion on this?
