MediaTek Helio G35 vs MediaTek Helio G25: They are a bit different, you know?

While swelling deeper into the budget segment, Mediatek launched a few more budget gaming chipsets a couple of weeks ago and these were way below the cost of MediaTek Helio G70 processor.

The new MediaTek Helio G35 and MediaTek Helio G25 make their appearance in the smartphone market and are ready to get launched in some really good smartphones. But what do you think is different between these chipsets?

Well, there are quite some differences and here are those to add to your knowledge book:

Both MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G25 have an octa-core CPU and 64-bit CPU structure with similar cores, the CPU cores of Helio G35 are clocked at 2.3GHz and those in Helio G25 are clocked at 2GHz.

This means the CPU clock speed of MediaTek Helio G35 is better and it would offer you better performance. Besides, there is a very slight difference of 30MHz in the GPU frequency as well. While the GPU in both the chipsets is the same, the one in Helio G35 is clocked at 680MHz, Helio G25 has a GPU clocked at 650Mhz.

The memory and connectivity specs are similar in both the smartphones, there is a slight difference in the camera specs as well. While MediaTek Helio G35 can support a single 25MP camera and dual 16MP camera setup, MediaTek Helio G25 has camera support limited to a single 21MP camera and a dual setup of 13MP camera.

This is not a very huge difference again but as I said, there is at least 10 per cent difference between them. And this is why, I think MediaTek Helio G35 is slightly better in the specs, though, you also need to know that the MediaTek Helio G35 would also have a higher cost as well and this is something that you need to keep in mind while purchasing smartphones with these chipsets.

So these are some of the major differences that exist between these chipsets and I think they are good enough to differentiate them even on the basis of their cost.

Well, MediaTek Helio G35 processor has already been launched inside Realme C11 at a cost of 7.5k and it would be interesting to see the cost at which a smartphone with MediaTek Helio G25 chipset gets launched in India.
