The budget segment is buzzing with lots of great devices and it is really difficult for the smartphone buyers to choose a perfect smartphone for them. If you view the segment, there are lots of options and out of them, Nokia 2.3 seems to be the latest one.

However, the smartphone seems to get a tough competition from the already running Redmi 8 smartphone which has slightly better specs at almost similar price. However, if you talk about quality, Redmi is almost nothing in comparison to Nokia.

So which one of the smartphones do you think is better in the budget segment?

Here is a comparative analysis of the smartphones for you to decide the better one between the two:

Display:

Nokia 2.3: It has a 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen with waterdrop notch display and 720 x 1520 pixels screen resolution

Redmi 8: It has a 6.22-inch IPS LCD screen with waterdrop notch display and 720 x 1520 pixels screen resolution. The smartphone has Gorilla Glass protection as well.

Processor:

Nokia 2.3: It is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core processor clocked at 2GHz

Redmi 8: It is powered by Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor clocked at 1.95GHz

GPU and Operating System:

Nokia 2.3: It has PowerVR GE8320 as its GPU and Stock Android 9 Pie as its OS, planned ready to upgrade to Android 10

Redmi 8: It has Adreno 505 as its GPU and Android 9 Pie as its OS with MIUI 11.

RAM and Internal Storage:

Nokia 2.3: It contains 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage

Redmi 8: It contains 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage

Rear Camera:

Nokia 2.3: It has 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera with LED flash

Redmi 8: It has 12MP + 2MP dual rear camera with LED flash

Front Camera:

Nokia 2.3: It has a 5MP front camera

Redmi 8: It has an 8MP front camera

Security Features:

Nokia 2.3: It comes with a biometric face recognition for quick and secure phone unlock

Redmi 8: It lacks security features such as face unlock and fingerprint sensor.

Battery:

Nokia 2.3: You get 4000mAh battery which sounds really good for the normal uses

Redmi 8: It contains a 5000mAh battery with 18W quick charging support.

If you look closely at the features, these are almost the same except for the battery and the ROM which is better in Redmi 8. However, Nokia 2.3 has a better mediatek processor, better rear camera and better operating system as well.

Therefore, I think Nokia 2.3 is a better choice considering the quality product you get. What do you think?
