Amidst the most heated competition in the budget segment, Realme 8i, the latest budget device is in competition with Infinix Hot 11s which was launched around a week later than the Realme device. Tell you what, it was quite surprising for me as well when I got to know about a Realme device competing with Infinix.
However, Infinix smartphones have come a long way forward and they are absolutely killing it in the budget segment. Whether or not you beheld their success, Infinix has quietly carved its own sweet niche in the Indian smartphone market with excellent use of MediaTek chipsets.
And the reason why Infinix Hot 11s is compared to the Realme 8s smartphone is mostly because of the MediaTek chipsets in the devices.
Both smartphones contain the newest MediaTek gaming chipsets that have been launched just a while ago and they look really good with their features as well.
While Infinix Hot 11s is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor that is clocked at 2GHz, Realme 8i is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor that is again octa-core in structure with a primary clock speed reaching 2.05GHz.
On the very first impression, you would say that since Helio G96 is better than the Helio G88 processor, Realme 8i should be a better performer. However, it is also important to look at the costs of the devices. With the Helio G88 processor, Infinix Hot 11s is available at 11k in India and for the same amount of RAM and ROM, Realme 8i with Helio G96 chipset is available at 13k in India.
Talking about other features like the battery, camera, and display, most of them stand almost similar in these devices and both the smartphones look quite competitive. Which of these smartphones do you think is better for its price?
