Realme U1: Powered by MediaTek Helio P70

Realme U1 is the first smartphone to be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 clocked at 2.1 GHz. The chipset is built on a 12nm process and 64-bit architecture with advanced AI capabilities. which showcases a dewdrop display design and 25-megapixel AI front-facing camera as its key features. It is a value for money device which provides a great performance with power efficiency. Gaming with a 900MHz ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU gives a smooth and fluid gaming experience with no visible heating issues.

The Realme U1 comes with a curved design and a glass-like finish. In terms of the display, the phone has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2350 pixels. The display is bright and vivid, so watching movies and videos on it will be very enjoyable.

The dewdrop notch makes the phone bezel less and has a 1500:1 contrast ratio along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is lightweight and does not feel heavy to hold.

The phone comes with a polycarbonate build body, packed with glass protection at the back. The lightweight design works well for single-handed usage and paired with rounded edges, it helps in increasing the grip on the smartphone.

In terms of daily usage, the fingerprint scanner is quite responsive and does not show any delay in unlocking your phone.

The smartphone has a triple slot SIM card tray and a Micro-USB port, speakers, mic and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The notch of the device houses the front-facing 25-megapixel AI-enabled and the brand claims it to be the ‘best selfie-camera smartphone’ in India at this price point. The phone has some other camera features as well such as 4-in-1 pixels, AI beautify which can scan 296 facial recognition points, Sony IMX576 sensor along with a studio portrait lighting mode as well.

The phone has two variants, 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage whereas the other one comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Realme U1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on ColorOS 5.2 Operating System. The smartphone also supports Dual 4G Volte and faster connectivity with MediaTek Helio P70. When it comes to multi-tasking, Realme U1 easily runs up to 10 tasks in the background. Another interesting feature in Realme U1 is that comes with software-backed gestures. In terms of the camera setup, Realme U1 comes with dual rear cameras consisting of a 13 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. In terms of pricing, the 3GB variant starts at Rs. Rs. 11,999 while the 4 GB variant starts at Rs. 14,999.
