If I had to choose a gaming smartphone right now, I would surely go for Redmi Note 8 Pro and there are many reasons for it.

Redmi Note 8 Pro was one of the major hits in the last quarter of 2019 and this smartphone is still getting a lot of headlines even after the newer version of the smartphone has been launched.

And this was surely since the smartphone contained all the good features which you desire in a good mid-range smartphone.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 8 Pro with MediaTek Helio G90T chipset in October 2019 and then they launched Redmi Note 9 Pro in March 2020. Having powered Vivo S1 and Vivo Y19, which were a great commercial success, I think the MediaTek chipset has earned quite a lot of reputation.

If you wish to choose any one of the smartphones between Samsung Galaxy A31 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, it surely depends upon your priority. If you are a gamer, I would suggest you to go with Redmi Note 8 Pro as it would have a better gaming performance and supports the highest levels of all the games.

However, if you need a smartphone for your regular uses, you can go for Samsung Galaxy A31. This smartphone would support gaming as well, but not at the highest levels, which is not very important for you. Samsung smartphones also have a lot of durability as well which could be an added factor when getting these smartphones.

But even Redmi Note 8 Pro in its small period of operation has proved that it has no less quality and is good enough for all the purposes.

So you need to look at the specs of both these smartphones and choose the one that suits you the best. Samsung Galaxy A31 might cost you 15k for its specs.
