If you are getting the same processor in smartphones, would you rather go for an expensive option or a relatively cheaper option that serves the purpose? The most common answer to this question is that it depends on the conditions and your budget — isn’t it?

Well, if you are about to go for a device that comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, you have a slightly expensive but popular option in India in the form of Vivo V25 5G and a more affordable option in the form of Tecno Pova 5G. So which one of these devices would you rather pick?

Here is a brief comparison of both these devices in terms of their specs and this is what you get as a result:

  • When you look at the displays of the devices, Tecno Pova 5G contains a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz display refresh rate and 1080p display resolution. Against this, Vivo V25 5G comes with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz display refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. You can pick your favorite from here.
  • As aforementioned, both these devices have the same MediaTek chip. However, when you unbox the device, you get Funtouch OS 12 over Android 12 with Vivo V25 5G smartphone. However, the OS in Tecno Pova 5G would be HiOS 8.0 over Android 11.
  • The devices differ in terms of RAM and ROM according to the countries they are launched in. However, the highest amount of RAM and ROM available in Tecno Pova 5G is 8GB and 128GB respectively. For Vivo V25 5G smartphone, the most RAM and ROM you can get are 12GB and 256GB respectively. However, you would surely keep the difference in costs for the devices in mind.
  • The camera section is again one of the major differences and you get a powerful 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera that comes with an LED flash and this is one of the best you can get in smartphones at the range. Against this, Tecno Pova 5G would offer you 50MP + 2MP + QVGA camera support which comes with a quad-LED flash and of course, this is nothing in comparison to the Vivo cameras.
  • In fact, even the 50MP selfie camera with Vivo V25 5G smartphone beats the 16MP selfie camera in Tecno Pova 5G by a fair distance.
  • Talking about the battery support, the Tecno Pova 5G has a clear edge with a powerful 6000mAH battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. However, Vivo V25 5G smartphone has a 4500mAh battery that comes with 44W fast charging support and this does really well to compete with the other device.

Now, if you look at the price difference between the devices, you will find that Tecno Pova 5G costs 15,599 for a single variant that contains 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. And for the same amount of RAM and ROM, you need to pay about 27,990 to pocket the Vivo V25 5G smartphone.

So which one of these devices do you pick with the same Mediatek chipset, taking the price and the specifications into consideration?
