Vivo Y20G reached the Indian market some time ago and this is the first smartphone by Vivo with a MediaTek gaming chipset. However, amidst the huge competition, Vivo still decided to bet at a higher cost than the normal and is expecting good returns.
The reason why I chose to compare it with Redmi 9 Prime is the fact that both the smartphones contain the same kind of MediaTek gaming processor. Yes, you know it well enough that both the smartphones have a MediaTek Helio G80 gaming processor that is octa-core in nature and runs at a CPU clock speed of 2GHz. However, the other features in the comparison are quite astonishing.
Both the smartphones have an almost similar display size with the same IPS LCD screen but Redmi 9 Prime contains a 1080p display resolution while Vivo Y20G contains only 720p display resolution. Redmi 9 Prime also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 support which is absent in Vivo Y20G.
Talking about the storage and RAM, both the smartphones have a max of 128GB of storage. However, Redmi 9 Prime has just 4GB RAM while Vivo Y20G has a 6GB RAM variant as well.
If you look at the camera section, while the Xiaomi smartphone has a 13MP quad-rear camera, Vivo Y20G supports only a 13MP triple rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor is absent in this. However, both the smartphones contain a similar front camera.
Even the battery specs in the smartphones are almost similar minus 20mAh better battery support in Redmi 9 Prime. Though both of them have the same 18W fast charging support. However, there is a real difference in the cost of these devices. While Redmi 9 Prime with 4GB and other better specifications RAM costs 11k in India, Vivo Y20G with just the 2GB RAM higher costs 15k. And now you can surely tell the smartphone which does a better job at this point.
