What’s Wrong With Dating These Days?

There is a certain section of men who don’t know how to talk to women and date them. They get rejected a couple of times and develop a certain mindset that makes them think that they will never have a good dating life. As a result, they look for advice on the internet and end up meeting more people like them.

The men who haven’t had any sexual encounters in their life are referred to as involuntary celibates or incels. They belong to a community of people called the red pill. The other community is called the black pill. These are a bunch of communities who think that they will never be able to sleep with a woman because they only demand 6-foot tall, rich, good-looking men only.

This mindset is developed also by using dating apps like Tinder in which women can only get to know about you based on your pictures and your bio, the same goes for men–they judge a woman by their looks. So, your survival in the dating market depends on how good you are at clicking pictures of yourself.

But there is good news for you. Online dating is not real life. These online dating apps distort the image you have about yourself. Even someone who is average looking whose Tinder profile is not optimised and cannot click good pictures of himself will naturally end up not receiving any right swipes.

According to a study conducted by Quartz India in 2018, only 26% of women are on dating apps like Tinder and Bumble. On the other hand, there are 74% of men on dating apps. For every woman, there are three men. This decreases the scope of men being successful in getting a date.

The more you use dating apps, the more you think that dating is impossible for you, and reality starts to get skewed. The more you start believing what the incels, black pillers, and red pillers say.

The only solution to this would be to go out and interact with more and more people. By meeting more people the scope of them getting to know you is a lot more. If you stay at home and complain about what is wrong with your life based on whatever you are consuming online, then you are not going to get anywhere.
