Yes, Kids Mostly Learn from Their Parents…

I was watching this TV commercial where two couples planned to meet on a Sunday for a get-together. One of the couples had a 5-year-old son and the other had a 4-year-old daughter. So the couples were laughing and chatting in the living room and the children were playing in the other room.

All of a sudden, the kids came and told their parents that they have just gotten married to each other. The parents obviously laughed at their kids because such small kids would hardly understand the real meaning of getting married, but viewing the TV soaps, they somehow understood that when a boy and a girl come together, they can get married.

So the parents ask them what they would do after they got married. And whatever the kids in their language told them was something that parents would have hardly expected.

The boy spoke first and said that he will wake up at 9 AM in the morning and would check my phone first. Then he would go to the garden and smoke a cigarette while talking to someone on the phone.

Meanwhile, the girl said that she would wake up at 8 AM and check her phone. She would text something to someone and then get ready to make breakfast for the husband and the kid. After making breakfast and keeping it on the table, she would bathe and get ready for the office.

The boy spoke again and said that he would have his breakfast and both of them will leave for the office together. He said that he would arrive at around 10 PM at night all drunk and demanding food from his wife. The girl said that she would come at around 9 PM and get ready for the food, but instead of eating the food, the boy would pretend to not like the food and shout at the girl. Then the boy would throw away the plate of food and start drinking from the bottle that is kept in the corner.

After some time, he would come to the wife and give her two slaps on the cheeks, complaining that she is a slut and she cannot make even good food.

The girl would start sobbing but would pick up the thrown food and throw it in the dustbin. Then instead of having food, she would also drink a bit from the bottle and they would go to the bedroom and shut the door. Then they would fight in the bedroom for about an hour and go to sleep.

The parents have been hearing all this from the kids in utter silence. None of the couples stopped their kids. None of them made an effort to look up into the eyes of the kids. And when the story ended, only the kids were laughing.

The parents hung their heads in shame as if someone recorded their everyday life and played it in front of them. They could hardly think that whatever they have been doing every single day would have so much influence on the mind of their kids.

But then, they understood that whatever they are doing is wrong and in their mind, they planned to change their lifestyle to offer a better example to their kids. Sometimes, kids teach so much to their parents and therefore, you must understand that whatever you are doing in front of your kids, they are learning it and they will follow your trail.

If you want your kids to do well in their life, lead them with a good example. You are the first teacher of your kids and whatever you do would influence your kids till the end of their life.
